The Property Practitioners Regulatory Authority (PPRA) hereby informs all prospective examination candidates that the registration period for the upcoming Professional Designation Examination (PDE), scheduled for 14 May 2026, has been extended to 08 May 2026.
This extension follows recent and prolonged technical challenges experienced on the MyPPRA portal, which may have disrupted access for some users attempting to complete their PDE registration. In light of these challenges, and in the interest of fairness and accessibility, the revised closing date for registration is Friday, 08 May 2026.
All eligible and qualifying property practitioners who have not yet registered are strongly encouraged to utilise this additional time to complete their registration via the MyPPRA portal at www.theppra.org.za and make the required payment.
Prospective examination candidates are reminded that the PDE eligibility criteria remain unchanged and can be accessed at the following link: https://theppra.org.za/education/pde/eligibility-for-pde/. Candidates who proceed to undertake the examination without meeting the prescribed eligibility requirements, or who fail to register via the portal and procedurally make the required payment by the extended closing date, will have their examination scripts disqualified and not marked. Any payments made under such circumstances will be forfeited.
