Fidelity Fund Certificates (FFCs) Renewal

This section provides important information to guide property practitioners through the process of renewing their Fidelity Fund Certificates (FFCs) and Registration Certificates (RCs).

All registered property practitioners are required, in terms of Section 47 of the Property Practitioners Act, to renew their certificates annually within the prescribed renewal period.

Holding a valid FFC or RC is a legal requirement for any individual or firm conducting property practitioner activities in South Africa.

Renewals ensure continued compliance with the Act and confirmation that the practitioner remains fit and proper to operate within the sector.

When to Renew

The renewal period for Fidelity Fund Certificates (FFCs) and Registration Certificates (RCs) opens on 01 July and closes on 31 October.

This applies to all certificates that expire on 31 December of the same calendar year in which the current certificate is due to expire.

Steps to Renew

Step 1

Receive Your Invoice
You will receive an invoice via email from the PPRA.

Step 2

Make Payment
Pay the prescribed renewal fee using your correct 7-digit reference number.
Payments must be made via EFT or direct bank deposit.

Step 3

Submit Your Renewal Application
Each property practitioner must submit an individual renewal application form to FFCRenewalsDocs@theppra.org.za, together with a copy of their ID document.

Use only your PPRA seven-digit reference number as the email subject line.

Principal practitioners must also submit their firm’s latest tax clearance certificate and, if applicable, a valid B-BBEE certificate.

Step 4

Renew Early
Principal practitioners are encouraged to renew early to avoid delays or automatic cancellation of FFCs for both the firm and its employees.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

1. Late renewal applications submitted after 31 October will attract a monthly penalty, as outlined in the Schedule of Fees (Regulation 23).
2. Three-year FFCs are valid for three calendar years, including the year of issue, even where the first year may not constitute a full calendar year (e.g., in the case of a late renewal or new registration).
