This communiqué serves to clarify the format, eligibility requirements, and key rules applicable to the Property Practitioners Regulatory Authority (PPRA) Professional Designation Examination (PDE).  

Kindly note that all fully compliant renewal applications containing proof of payment of the correct renewal fee which were submitted to FFCrenewals@theppra.org.za, have been processed, and the last outstanding 2026-2028 FFCs are expected to be issued by 19/12/2025.

The PPRA would like to thank all those who have renewed their FFCs timeously and have exercised patience with us as we undergo ongoing system development. The new developments will allow us to serve you better and reliably automate many of the legislated processes for your convenience.

The exam scheduled for 13 November 2025 remains a Take home exam and therefore no oral or venue-based exam will be conducted by the PPRA.

The Property Practitioners Regulatory Authority confirms that, in terms of regulation 15(4) the last day for renewal of FFCs expiring in 2025, is 31 October 2025. In terms of section 47(2) of the Property Practitioners Act 22/2019 such property practitioner shall a submit an application in the prescribed manner to give effect to such renewal.
