- All exam candidates must be in possession of a valid FFC for the current year to be allowed to enrol/register for PDE.
- Eligibility for exam candidates who hold an FFC as full status non-principal property practitioners:
- Exam Candidates who hold an FFC as full status non-principal property practitioners and have not completed or have not been exempted from PDE 4 must have completed and certificated for or granted an equivalency exemption from obtaining the NQF 4 Real Estate qualification in order to be eligible to register for PDE 4.
- Exam Candidates who hold an FFC as full status non-principal property practitioners and have already completed or have been exempted from PDE 4 and wish to write PDE 5 must have completed and certificated for or granted an equivalency exemption from obtaining the NQF 5 Real Estate qualification in order to be eligible to register for PDE 5.
- Eligibility for exam candidates who hold an FFC principal property practitioners: All principal property practitioners have been marked on the PPRA system as having been exempted from PDE 4 already and therefore,
- Exam Candidates who hold an FFC as principal property practitioners and have not completed or have not been exempted from PDE 5 must have completed and certificated for or granted an equivalency exemption from obtaining the NQF 5 Real Estate qualification in order to be eligible to register for PDE 5
- Eligibility for exam candidates who hold an FFC as candidate property practitioners:
- Exam Candidates who hold an FFC as candidate property practitioners and have not completed PDE4 must have completed and certificated for or granted an equivalency exemption from obtaining the NQF 4 Real Estate qualification and submitted a signed-off letter confirming completion of the 6 months practical or workplace learning or work experience in order to be eligible to register for PDE 4.
- The PPRA must be furnished with certified copies of such qualifications and/or letters confirming the grant of the equivalency exemption from the required qualifications and/or signed-off letters confirming the completion of the 6 months practical or workplace learning or work experience for these to be updated against the profile of the property practitioner before an attempt to register for the examination is made. Certified copies of completed qualifications (i.e. the NQF 4 & 5 qualification documents) when are submitted to PPRA must be comprised of both the statement of results as well as the certificate of competence or the qualification award. These certified copies of completed qualifications as well as certified letters confirming the grant of the equivalency exemption from the required qualifications, if were not issued by the PPRA (i.e. the letters or certificates issued prior to 2013 when the PPRA took over the Equivalency Exemption process) must be emailed to upgrades@theppra.org.za. Certified copies of the signed-off letters confirming the completion of the 6 months practical or workplace learning or work experience must be emailed to practicaltraining@theppra.org.za
