The Property Practitioners Regulatory Authority (PPRA) wishes to inform all property practitioners that during the PDE 4 and PDE 5 examinations held on 14 May 2026, the PPRA Website experienced technical difficulties, rendering the Website inaccessible. As a result, some examination candidates were unable to download the examination question papers and consequently could not undertake the examination.
In an effort to minimise disruption and facilitate the continuation of the examination process, the PPRA resolved to distribute the examination question papers via email to all registered examination candidates.
However, the PPRA acknowledges that some examination candidates may not have received the question papers or the communication relating to the technical difficulties and were therefore unable to undertake the examination. In the interest of fairness, accessibility, and administrative justice, the PPRA will provide a special examination sitting for all affected eligible examination candidates as follows:
- Date: 26 May 2026
- Time: 08:00 – 13:00
- Mode of Examination: Take-home examination
All examination candidates who:
- successfully registered for the PDE 4 or PDE 5 examination;
- made payment during the official registration period for the 14 May 2026 examination; and
- were unable to access or complete the examination due to the technical difficulties experienced,
are requested to send an email, together with proof of payment, to exams@theppra.org.za
Please note the following important conditions:
- Only examination candidates who registered and paid during the official registration period for the 14 May 2026 examination will be considered.
- Property practitioners who did not register and pay during the prescribed registration period will not qualify for the special examination sitting and are encouraged to enrol for the next scheduled examination in accordance with the published examination dates.
- Verification of registration and payment records will be conducted prior to approval for participation in the special examination sitting.
Affected examination candidates are requested to confirm their details and availability for the special examination to enable the PPRA to finalise verification and examination arrangements.
The PPRA sincerely apologises for the inconvenience caused and remains committed to ensuring a fair, transparent, and credible examination process for all property practitioners.
