NOTICE TO ALL PROPERTY PRACTITIONERS: 2025 FFC RENEWAL GRACE PERIOD GRANTED UNTIL 30 NOVEMBER 2025
The Property Practitioners Regulatory Authority confirms that, in terms of regulation 15(4) the last day for renewal of FFCs expiring in 2025, is 31 October 2025. In terms of section 47(2) of the Property Practitioners Act 22/2019 such property practitioner shall a submit an application in the prescribed manner to give effect to such renewal.
Due to the non-submission of the application form by many renewing practitioners, the PPRA has granted a grace period for submission of renewal applications until 30 November 2025. During this period, no late renewal penalties will be charged, on condition that the qualifying practitioner submits a compliant application form in the prescribed manner with the required documentation, and the required payment, on or before 30 November 2025. Failure to do so will attract penalties from the statutory date of 31 October 2025.
This is a once- off ex gratia grace period which will not be extended or repeated.
Practitioners who take advantage of the grace period can expect their FFCs to be issued during January 2026 and the period specified in section 49(1) is hereby extended for a further 30 days due to the later submission and intervening holidays.
Property practitioners are reminded that those who have submitted their compliant renewal on time, do not require a new FFC by 31 October, but have a valid FFC until 31 December 2025.
Practitioners are advised that our IT system and portal development continues, and we apologise for the system downtime which has resulted, and are working diligently to assist all practitioners expeditiously.
