EAAB encourages stakeholders to participate in public information sessions on draft regulations
JOHANNESBURG – The Estate Agency Affairs Board has in in the past few months engaged with a number of new and current stakeholders to prepare the industry for the impending legislative changes in respect to the newly enacted Property Practitioners Act No. 22 of 2019.
During these engagements the EAAB undertook to host an industry-wide workshop that would focus on five work streams namely Transformation, Fidelity Fund, Enforcement, Licensing and Education and Training.
The workshop initially planned for the end of March, will however, have to be moved to a later date due to the EAAB’s mother body, the Department of Human Settlements hosting a series of countrywide roadshows to garner public comments on the draft regulations.
The regulator will communicate details of the rescheduled workshop once finalised.
The EAAB encourages its stakeholders to participate in the roadshows which will take place in all nine provinces until 14 May 2020. See schedule below of dates and venues.
